Rodents Don't Eat Your Car. They Eat the Wiring.

One Chewed Harness Is a Four-Figure Repair
Insulation sits where rodents already want to be: warm, dry, and out of sight. The damage is invisible until a circuit fails - and by then the harness is usually a replacement, not a splice.
- Intermittent electrical faults that no scanner explains
- Dashboard warnings that come and go
- A nest smell under the hood
- Lights, wipers, or sensors behaving inconsistently
-
Clean and dry the run. Dust is what kills adhesion.
-
Wrap with 50% overlap, starting two inches before the connector and ending two inches past the run.
-
Press the overlap flat. The treated adhesive only works where it touches.
This Is a Wrap, Not a Model-Specific Part
4019-2317 is 19 mm x 20 m tape. It fits the harness you wrap, not a vehicle model - so there is no year/make/model lookup to get wrong.
- Usable on engine, cabin, and accessory harness runs
- Also used on RV, boat, and equipment wiring
Is this genuine Honda?
Yes. This is OEM part 4019-2317, sold as a genuine Honda part.
Will it fit my car?
Fitment is by harness, not by model. You cut and wrap to length.
How far does one roll go?
About 65 ft, which typically covers a main engine-bay run.
Is it a guarantee?
It is a physical wrap with a treated adhesive layer, not a bait or a trap.
Polyimide or polyester — which one do I need?
Polyimide (No.650S) is rated to 200°C with a 7.0 kV breakdown voltage, so it is the choice for soldering, powder coating and anything near a heat source. Polyester (No.631S) is rated to 130°C at a lower price and covers coil wrapping and general electrical insulation.
What does the UL rating on your tapes actually mean?
It is the tape's own flame or temperature classification: UL510 flame retardant for the polyimide, glass cloth, acetate cloth, copper and aluminium foils; UL130 for the polyester tape. The class is printed on each product page.
Do you sell widths other than 25 mm?
Every tape in the catalogue is listed at 25 mm wide. If you need a different width for a production run, contact us and we will confirm what is available.
Can these tapes be used outside electrical work?
Yes. The kraft cloth tape is a carton and bundling tape, the floor marking tape is for lanes and zone marking, and the copper foil is used for guitar cavity shielding and general craft work — check the width first, since craft foil is usually narrower than 25 mm.
